I've used over 10 spools of Elegoo Rapid PETG that come with cardboard spools and I've had zero issues with printing. I'm using an Elegoo Centauri Carbon and so far everything has come out well.

Relatively new to 3D printing. These are cardboard spools. I don't have any spare plastic spools to transfer to filament to. I've read that many mfgs spools are edge glued so cardboard dust is nothing to be concerned with.

Can anyone confirm if ELEGOO cardboard spools are edge glued? Thanks.

My Elegoo PLA+ spools are edge glued, yep. But honestly not sure how much of an issue cardboard dust would be anyway.

Sorta. PLA Pro is supposed to be tougher or better finished, maybe. I can barely tell the difference.
Rapid PLA is designed specially to operate at different temperatures and speeds than regular PLA. It can print reliably much faster than regular PLA with the same results. All depends on what you want to print.

I recently printed some edge spool adapters for my Elegoo rolls that have worked great in my AMS2. Specific designer on MakerWorlds model I used is AU3D and the model name is "ELEGOO Cardboard Spool Adapter."

I recycled a 10 foot stack of carboard spools from Inland and Elegoo, all through a P1S with AMS in the last year, no issues.

Ive ordered similar multi-pack deals before that are on cardboard spools and the delivery of the product ALWAYS damages the edges of the spool which has required me to print spool edges so they'll smoothly dispense the filament.

The PLA Pro is a deeper black and has more gloss than the standard or rapid in my experience.
