I think my HP48S PRN scientific calculator uses 3 of these. I haven't used it in a couple of decades. Might pick up a set to see if it still works. Perhaps I can get something for it on the bay.

I haven't used these specifically, but they usually work well.

Given that these are practically a "specialty battery" it is rather surprising to see a rechargeable version. The price is also neat.
The only question is - why?
Why buy that at all? How many of those do you change a year to warrant a rechargeable replacement (and will it ever pay off)?

Where does it say this is rechargeable?

They used to send me batteries for free. Not sure if that policy is still in place.

Thank You that's good to know although I am currently not paying for monitoring so I am not sure how generous they will be. I do wish i knew about that during the 8 years i had it monitored.

Per AI:
When SimpliSafe Sends Free Batteries/Parts:
  • Warranty Claims: Under their warranty (which extends with monitoring plans), defective parts, including those needing battery replacements, are often swapped out.
  • Base Station Errors: If the wrong batteries (alkaline) were put in the Base Station, they'll send the correct rechargeable NiMH ones for free.
  • Customer Service: Many users report SimpliSafe sending free replacement batteries (even specific types) and key fobs upon request, especially if you're on a monitoring plan.

Amazon.com for different products, as soon as I click to add promo code, value of the code is reduced by more than 50%, is there any anyone experiencing it? Why show full promo code account amount and reduce it, what is their strategy.

16340 is the type of battery that shares the same form factor as the CR123A, but is also rechargeable.

ANSWER: When your son bought you a bunch of the "Awesome flashlights & stuff" used while on USMC deployment, and they ARE pretty awesome, but chomp thru A123's like candy! Rechargeables & a smart multi-size capable charger.. would be an unexpected treasure.. for only one (me) probably. 😆
