Don't put these in the dishwasher, and you should be good.

Food grade mineral oil is a good way to seal.

Raw meats I cut on a glass cutting board, but for everything else, wood is good

LOL, I'm a pro knife sharpener.

Glass is ONLY for raw meats. I don't want any raw meat getting into the scratches of a wood (or yikes, plastic) cutting board.

Most people breaking down a raw chicken, know to minimize the contact of the knife with the glass. If you are doing spatchcocking or simple segmenting, there is zero knife/glass contact.
