I bought this 10 years ago this July. I paid the same price in 2016. It works well and is still going strong. The battery cover on the back broke off at some point (we probably dropped it so I think it was an "us" problem, not a defect) but it still works fine.

I second this, I highly recommended it, I did pay the regular price a few years ago though. And it's definitely worth it.
