I got rid of my pair. I found them too mid-fi and not subtle/detailed at all. Replaced it with a cheaper set - pair of Triangle BR02, Wiim Pro, Loxjie A30. Less than $500 and hands down much better sound. Later I added a RSL speedwoofer and for about this same price, fantastic sound in all aspects except convenience. But my system will play everything including 24/192.

For anyone who asks... yes, you need a pair. I thought one would suffice then I added a 2nd a year later. What a difference

Good deal. Just curious if these are a lot better than Apple HomePods?

Sound quality much much better. But HomePods work more seamlessly with Apple products.

Can they work with sonos arc as surrounds? May be it's an overkill?

Wiim Pro let you do whole home audio - aka multiple zones?

You probably know this, but I think when you set these up, they have "loudness" turned on by default. At least that was the case for me. Technically that should be the opposite of mid-heavy, but in my experience that makes them sound more like party speakers and looses detail. I have only one, but I think the sound is amazing for the size and it being a network speaker.

I'd go with Era 300s for surround. Fives would work but are better suited for music. I do have both and use them accordingly.

They're not bougie-level audiophile quality (and don't charge bougie pricing) but they are fantastic and will suit most people's needs just fine.

I absolutely love mine.

Not a dumb question at all and these guys haven't heard the big HomePod. I don't have a pair but comparing a single one to my pair of 5s, I would say it is much better in the highs and midrange and bass is less muddy. I actually don't like the 5s outside of the convenience of sonos as a whole. If you are just buying these to up sound quality you would do a lot better with separates for the same or less money.
