Literally wearing these socks right now and they are absolutely garbage. I buy 30 pairs at a time, wear a pair once, and throw them for the wash. I do a single load of whites once a month. So, realistically speaking, each actual pair gets worn and washed about a dozen times a year.

Every single sock has holes in the heel after two years. I don't spend much time on my feet, I'm on my ass most of my days as I work from home and video games are my favorite hobby.

For comparison, my old Joe Boxer socks never got any holes in them. The only reason I got rid of them is because the elastic wore out.

Dang. Sound like Hanes needs to make a set of Quadruple Tough socks, then

At first glance, I thought these were the Darn Tough sock brand out of Vermont.

Those are the buy once cry once lifetime warranty socks for $16-20 per pair. I got 5 pair off eBay for $16 each and they will be the last socks I buy, with their bulletproof lifetime warranty similar to Osprey backpacks.

These are pretty bad. Think thin socks that are loose. The worst kind. Returning my order.

At first I thought the whole "cotton vs polyester" argument was silly... how could plastic be weaker than cotton?

Then I saw the light... through the holes in my socks.

Anything under 50% cotton is trash. Don't waste your money.

Just got mine, these socks suck. For gym or light use, fine. For work or every day, you'll run right through them. Double tough my ass.

I agree with most. I'm done buying Hanes socks. They do get holes easily, especially if you're walking a lot at work, etc. Just around the house they might be fine.
