Not sure what the angle is, but I'd assume some of these posters are affiliated with another company that sells batteries on amazon or something.
I've purchased Rayovac batteries for 15+ years now, often in 48 or 60packs and have never had one leak on me. It's certainly possible as it would be with any brand, but doesn't seem very common

Replies above seem like spam. If you click their history, they all say the same thing on many battery posts, even the same thing on different brands.. so I'd disregard them.
