I use this to capture videos of my kids. The stabilization works great and the look of the footage is much more cinametic than the videos I shoot with my phone. $499 is a fair price for this camera—whether someone can afford it is a separate matter. That said, there may be a new one coming out soon. Thanks for your contribution and have a nice day.

this or creator combo? I got the combo for 703$ including taxes, this is costing 555$ with taxes. Thinking if I should return the combo and get this instead. Does it connect directly to other mics like NEEWER CM28 or needs the receiver to be attached?

Yeah, ever since the price SKYROCKETED earlier this year during the tariffs (this thing nearly doubled in price, so it was more greed than any tariff), apparently they've been having a hard time unloading them. I mean, who could imagine the average person having a hard time affording a $800+ "discontent creator" camera? Golly.

Pocket 4 right around the corner (expected in March). So I'd probably hold off, as the price on these things is only going to continue to drop further.
