Product Details:
  • The Double Trouble transforms Gibson's gorgeous and remarkably vintage-correct Les Paul Standard '50s series with a marvelous limited-edition makeover. Its namesake appointments are anchored by a pair of uncovered Burstbuckers that reveal that elegant and elusive double-white bobbin look that LP enthusiasts have long hailed as supreme. The other key piece of the Double Trouble puzzle is a uniquely hand-sprayed, full-gloss nitro lacquer Vintage finish to offer a subtly faded and aged look — an exclusive detail that traditional Standard '50s series instruments don't offer. Every other element showcases Gibson's superb Standard '50s protocol, including a non-relieved mahogany body topped in AA figured maple, a '50s Vintage neck profile, and classic hardware such as Keystone Vintage Deluxe tuners and an ABR-1 hardtail and Tune-o-matic bridge combo. Entirely handcrafted in the USA, this Les Paul Standard '50s Double Trouble model is one of only a limited number of models that have been produced in this particular color — and it won't hang around Sweetwater for long.

Ah yes, there's always one that comes in yapping. LOL.

If you have the kind of money to buy a "real" 1958 Les Paul, then clearly you're not the person that SD caters to. LOL. Considering a real one is the price of a house these days, good luck Money Bags

This is a fantastic deal for an iconic guitar. It's a brand new Gibson Les Paul!! These guitars will last a lifetime and then some. If you get one, play it, enjoy it but take care of it and your grandkids will be able to enjoy it too

My local GC had one of the 60s model Double Trouble in Tobacco marked down to $1999 from $2799. It was a floor model, so a few marks here and there, but nothing terrible. I like the brighter tops. Ala Greeny

I guess you might as well buy any old copy...

I'd rather have the real deal instead of a $3,000-plus reissue, that's for sure...

But that's just me...

great deal. I'd prefer DiMarzio to burstbuckers tho. Very Ace look.

You obviously don't know where to look for vintage equipment...

I would deal with the owners of vintage equipment before any reseller...
I knew you were a troll and I thought your initial comment was funny. Now it has lost its humor.

Ebay is your friend, remember that... And like I said, this is my opinion...
Ah yes, ebay for a 6 figure guitar... So much for not dealing with resellers 🤡 😂

So you recommend ebay for your vintage instruments? What have you scored so far?

Joe Bonamassa will probably buy it to go with the rest of the ones he has. LOL
