Another awesome Walgreens protein powder deal. Bummer that it's pickup only, but worth the trip for me. Thanks OP.
I plan to use this with a Creami to make protein ice cream.

As good a price as this and other Walgreens protein deal, I think I will pass. Too much filler in both. Also, ratio to protein is not great (60%). Thanks though, OP!

50g protein per serving (two scoops) is a marketing gimmick. Its not like they packed more protein into one scoop. Too many fillers too. Not recommended

Yes, if you place them on top of the things you're lifting.

Is this better quality than the Walgreens version I picked up yesterday? Also people say both aren't great but are they good enough for beginners?
I'm not an expert, but as a recent beginner myself (just over a year), I think either one is fine to start with. It's cheap and won't take too long to go through, so even if it's not the best quality stuff, you'll get a feel for what you like and don't like with little investment.

I started with a super cheap deal on a 10lb bag that I still haven't made my way through over a year later, but I've since found other brands and flavors I like much better, since I have that original purchase as a reference point.

Get in cheap to build the habit and learn what you like.

Just picked up. Date on the jug is November 2025. Don't know if that's an expiration date or a mfg date.

Yeah 155 cals per 25g protein is pure garbage for protein ratio to cals. Should be 110-130 at most.

Perfectly fine for most people. People complain that there's fillers and a mix of isolate and concentrate but unless you're really needing to cut the extra calories, then it's not a huge deal to get some concentrate in the formula. It also has other upsides like some beneficial compounds in milk that aren't usually found in isolate. If you're getting into the gym and need a easy way to increase your overall protein intake, they are both completely fine. The Walgreens version seems to have 3-4g of creatine in it as well which can help with strength and recovery. I'd advise getting some creatine monohydrate to take on the days when you aren't using the protein powder. Super cheap and effective performance enhancer. Try to get .7g per pound of body weight per day at least, up to about 1g per lb. Helps with muscle development and retention.

With this dirt-cheap price, it's crazy you expect it as a high-quality protein powder. Besides, this protein powder is designed for bulking with low protein to calorie ration. Treat is as a light meal replacement. If you are in a cutting stage, skip it. Otherwise, use it as a cheap high protein meal replacement.

You can burn 20 calories farting. Plus I can't imagine anyone here doing competitions so this stuff won't wreck anyone's diet.

Considering I had a Walgreens near by I couldn't resist getting 2 tubs for pickup. $18 for the pair seemed cheap enough to gamble on it and swap out my norm for a couple weeks. I've never tried the Pro series, but considering the fact they are clearing stock for what I guess is the soon to be coming updated formula batches, I am not all that excited to crack it open. I've been using the original banana creme for many years and can't say I ever felt disappointed in it compared to anything else I have tried, but I remember the vanilla tasting a little funky on occasion in the past. I'm really hoping it's not like that or worse now with this.

Got mine and the dates are Oct 2026. Given that date I would guess it's a best by date. I do believe they are trying to clear stock though. When I was trying to see if this flavor was worth taking a chance on I came across some stuff saying they are reformulating the pro series and it is supposed to release very soon.

Chocolate is available but not vanilla. I like vanilla better than chocolate Crying
