You're comparing Costco top tire gas against shitty Walmart gas... Lol

You are down voted because your experience is far from universal. I don't have a winco and have never seen a Walmart gas station lol

Winco is good but that not good. Plus Costco really sines on some of the organic stuff - almost similar prices as Winco non-organic. Generally quality of produce is better at Costco.

That is wild to me because I've had the opposite experience with Costco produce. It's great if you're going to use it within a day or two but.... It just doesn't have the longevity around us.

Not everything at Costco is great, but it's definitely worth the membership cost when you consider gas, Staples you can stock up on and for us, the second driver you get for free when you use their car rental booking service. Not to mention furniture, furniture delivery white glove and the generous return policy that I hope people don't take too much advantage of because they'll change it.

There is so much more than just the warehouse...

But also like, why show up just to shit on the store people obviously like shopping at?

I mean I don't show up in every Walmart thread talking about how they don't play their workers, they teach their workers to sign up for government aid.... And that the company is the number one recipient of corporate welfare from the government subsidizing their low wages.

Because that's just wet blanket shit.

Costco = value; people go to Costco for value, not for low price (not always).
Exactly. I think Costco has better quality than many local stores even if they are the same unit price ($/oz). I can get lower price at local Aldi or lidl but not the same quality.

Costco is across the street from Walmart gas here, always same price.

I also don't like Costco and choose not to pay a fee to shop in a crowded warehouse and fight over parking.

Winco and other grocers easily match/beat prices... and I don't get stuck with three months supply of things.

But, I get it... Costco is a cult.. People will defend it like a family member. No shame in that, just not my thing,
Walmart gas isn't as good as Costco gas. Also, not liking paying a fee to shop vs not liking abusing workers is kind of the decision there. Interesting to see where people stand on that.

Agreed on some organic stuff available at similar prices in Costco, but for the rest, WinCo is best

Dang not imgur user, maybe I am using it wrong. I get like three pop ups and after like 10nseconds the stupid ad or imgur app blocks me from viewing anything
If you have an updated iPhone, put the browser in "hide distracting items" mode. It stops the popups for me.

However, imgur keeps keeps trying in the background and the phone will get hot, because imgur cycle never stops trying. They're going to make you face a consequence for blocking their crap. Close the tab when done otherwise it Imgur will keep draining your battery.

Costco gas is Top Tier certified. Walmart gas isn't. For the same price I'm going to Costco every time.

I just goto both. It's not mutually exclusive, they both have things the other doesn't.

What is wrong with paying with your debit card or cash? I would think putting food on credit seems wild.

There are credit cards that have 5% cash back on certain rotating categories like supermarkets. This quarter, Discover has it. That's a big benefit

I have several good reasons for shopping at costco, and price isn't even on top: good buyers (lots of new variety products), usda prime, high turnover, and the membership deters people from bad behavior.

I agree. As you noted, the worst part is you have to buy in such large quantities (for say a couple or a small family), it will go bad before you finish consuming it. When I live in the DC area and had access to the large Korean groceries, other than maybe the Romaine lettuce, Costco produce paled in comparison both in terms of quality and price. Now that I am in the Pacific NW, the gap between Winco and Costco is not as dramatic, but still noticeable, particularly on price.
