InKind is a financing operation for restaurants. Instead of taking out bank loans, the restaurant gets cash from InKind in exchange for a multiple of that value in food credits.

It's a great deal for the restaurant and for all of us, because food cost is typically 20-25%. That's how InKind can give you 20% back in credits, plus frequent additional "rewards" discounts, and everybody still wins.

So when you dine using InKind funds, you are just drawing down on the credits that the restaurant gave to InKind. So InKind is great for restaurant cash flow, but when you dine, the restaurant collects zero cash.

That's why the credits are for food and not for tips. To the restaurant, tips are separate and unrelated to food cost. $1 in tips costs exactly $1. I think about it like I'm paying the server directly, just like it used to be when the world was cash-based. And some of those InKind credits live on to get me another stacked discount when the next "reward" appears on SlickDeals.

Sure they do, you can't stack the coupons with promo funds (like from cash back or referrals).

Worth clicking into the link and typing your zip into the map. Surprising amount of local spots take this gift card. With Valentine's Day coming up, not a bad idea to buy one (or two if stackable).

My understanding is these CANNOT stack with the frequent ie "$25 off $50" deals we see here. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow, I'm glad I checked. I thought this was going to be a gift card for a bunch of lame national chains... couldn't be more wrong! Some REALLY upscale local restaurants are included here. This is awesome, definitely going to get at least one of these!

You can't pay tips with the gift card which is kind of annoying.

After joining refer P2, 2nd phone, 2nd sim, etc. They will get $25 off $50 and you'll get $50 once they use it. (For 14 more days then goes back to $25).

Pretty good deal if you eat out and like the a few of the restaurants on the list. This was a great hack for a place my wife like and we took out friends. The bill before tip was $150 and end up paying only $100 for 5 people. Great healthy food at 35% off is worth it.
