FYI this vendor sells used items as new. They don't even try to clean them or make them look new, just straight up used dirty items with the boxes taped back together. May not be every item, but I'm 2 for 2, won't ever buy from them again.

FYI this vendor sells used items as new. They don't even try to clean them or make them look new, just straight up used dirty items with the boxes taped back together. May not be every item, but I'm 2 for 2, won't ever buy from them again.

Walmart says this includes both wired and wireless remotes. Throw in the synthetic rope and I'd call this a hot deal.

The seller claims: "BRAND NEW – Inventory is in "BRAND NEW" retail ready condition and in original packaging."

I bought one. Let's see what shows up in the mail. Hopefully it is new with both remotes.

I found this review at Walmart is most useful: "If you are looking at this winch, you are likely looking at the HF Badland Apex along with others at similar price on Amazon. I think this one is probably at the top of that heap. I will compare it directly to the HF Apex with synthetic rope as I believe Walmart is competing against a broad line of similar products and retailers with their Hyper Tough brand. This winch shipped from Uriah Manufacturing who is known for their towing equipment although they are surely just the distributor for this. Compared to the Apex, this winch has a more powerful motor (7hp vs unlisted, HF ZRX with wire rope has 6hp), higher gear ratio (232:1 vs 210:1), longer rope (82ft vs 80ft), and is lighter (60lbs listed weight vs 80+ lbs). It also has a much better warranty at 1 year vs 90 days, and the warranty is serviced directly by Walmart which means it should be easy to get service. The rest of the specs are fairly similar. The winch mounts very easily and everything functions properly. The winch and wired remote are IP68 waterproof and the wireless remote is IP65 rated (dust tight and safe from water sprays). I really like the black fairlead on it as it looks better to me than bare aluminum like most winches. If you are looking in this price range this is a good choice and I've seen it on sale for as low as $420."

As such, I picked one up for my Jeep!

I don't think I'd really ever really need it. I might buy it for the winch spot on my bumper. I'm not a big off-roader, but I'd test it first to be sure it works.

Also good if someone steals it, which has been a concern of mine.
