Be careful, as similar to the Scotch tape deal a few weeks ago, this isn't working on all Sharpie products. You will know which product it works on becuase it will say 100% back in rewards on the item page and then activate (notice in the picture below, it must have the part that I circled in red, if it only has the banner which is the part that I didn't circle then that item still isn't qualifying.)

For example, the Sharpie product below does not say the 100% back on the item page and won't get the 100% back unless you fight with customer service and then YMMV.

Did you actually have to fight for your points?
Per this Staples Help Topic [staples.com], all I did was submit a request for missing points through the link at the bottom of my Points History details page [staples.com]. In that FAQ, click on "If I am missing points, what can I do?". I received my missing points within a day, without any additional effort.

I think the points weren't automatically added because whoever runs the Staples inventory system didn't properly find and flag ALL Post-It/Sharpie products to be eligible for the promotion. It's probably a hassle, especially for "discontinued"/clearance items, which was the case in my situation.

Yes, I did. They claimed the Scotch tape that I bought didn't qualify. I called customer service and they said the item I purchased didn't qualify and I told them but it said all scotch products and finally they said they would give it to me as a one time courtesy.
I always feel it is better not to have customer service looking at your account to many times, and even if you submit for missing points, that is going to have someone manually looking at your account.

Anyways, as I said above, it is easy to see which items they have coded properly for the 100% back. Also, in the cart, it will show easy rewards offer next to the item if it is coded properly.

Any idea if this is going to stack with $20 promo card when spend $50 in-store? I'm hoping it might, since payment for Sharpies product is cash payment, unless they programmed to recognize that items involved are on "100% back sale".

I'd like to know this too. I see the email specifically says in-store, so I wonder if online in-store pickup don't qualify either?

no it does not stack. I learned it by trying twice in store with $40 of Sharpie stuff and $50 in total. None of them came up with $20 coupon to be used in futute. Are those $20 Coupon supposed to print out with the sales receipt?

unfortunately I don't think it works. Staples may code those "free" stuff differently.which won't count into $50 spending……

I think the $20 doesn't post to your account until February, at least according to the other thread. They must also scan the $20 coupon at checkout.

When redeeming, you can price match and skip the sales tax. I've been redeeming Airpod Pro 3's for $199 thanks to all the 50% off printer deals.
