X-lock means you can only use X-lock discs?

probably why it is on sale, people said FU to a proprietary grinder. I have a variable speed grinder of theirs that I love, wish it was this price. Having two works better, one with the grinder and the other one with the osborn brush, with no interchanging nonsense.

Here is a link to a disc at lowes, see the difference

Yes you have to use their proprietary wheels. Probably why it's on sale. Who would want that?

I like X-lock and prefer a paddle switch, but am paranoid when it comes to angle grinders. I would prefer to only buy ones with electronic brakes, anti-kickback tech, etc. This doesn't have those additional safety features. Great price though.

Tool only? I only buy corded tools that come with a municipal power plant.

Yeah some safety features are better than none. Im surprised people hate on x lock its far superior than older methods. The paddle is a no brainer as well takes time to get used to but you feel more in control than the switch safer too. This is wonderful tool to add to your collection I have this the makita battery powered angel grinder.

I bought this one for my dad for Christmas since he needs a more heavy duty grinder and his old one was just not safe. Hes old school school so once he gets used to the safety features in this one I can upgrade him again next year.
