Yeah but a worse chip. A lot of people want a smaller laptop than 15.6

This laptop looks like it can be easily upgraded later on, right? The Crucial website is showing DDR4-3200 SODIMM and also shows dozens of M.2 SSD for this model. Being so thin I was worried everything would be soldered onto the motherboard.
Asus says 1 SODIMM slot, so upgradeable.

Thanks, I missed the i3 vs. i5 part. I'm not sure if there is any difference in the screen resolution between the 2...the Asus one says 1920 x 1080 in the description but then says 1920 x 1200 in the specs. Someone asked that question in the Q & A on the Staples website and got no answer. So we really don't know what the resolution on the Asus is.
Another important tidbit with the Lenovo is that it has a TN panel.

The Asus? Hmm, their website lists three panel options for that series. Two state "IPS-level", and the other doesn't specify.

Here we go again. This is a $300 laptop, it is not going to be gold plated and signed by Sydney Sweeney and have USB-C or a backilt keyboard.
The issue is people favor CPU and memory instead of screen.

If people shopped for cars like they do computers there would be 1100 horsepower cars with no AC and milk crate to sit on.

Wow that is thin. No internal parts being upgradable I imagine
The i3 version of x1404va has upgradeable ram and SSD. This probably has 8gb on board and 4gb in the sodimm appt.
Best buy has regularly had the i3 version for $200 and the core 5 120u version for $280. Both only with 8gb ram.

The picture doesn't look like 1920x1200. Wish it had usb c with monitor support and charging.
It doesn't support USB-C charging? I didn't see it one way or another on the listing specs.

Umm... Where would one find one signed by Sydney Sweeney?

Asking for a friend. 🙂

Is this an older model, or they are using a 13th generation Intel chip to reduce costs?

First of all Sidney Sweeney is NOT attractive.

More importantly USB C video output for the original price is actually very reasonable. I have an 8th gen laptop that has USB C video output.
