when these originally came out in the early 2000's, Foot Locker, Finish Line, and Champs (and probably others) marketed them as running, basketball, and even hiking shoes. I still have about 10 pair from that era, along with 3 or 4 pairs of the Air Max's' from that era, some have never been worn and still have the tag on them!

I am disappointed in the lack of actual leather/pleather in shoes now. I looked at all the Shox models and none of them (current) have leather insoles. Maybe I am in the minority but I do not like fabric

I remember bought this in early 2000 for $160 for Silver/Black/Red version. Shoes not comfortable but made me looks taller lol.

I bought it in the original colorway with red shox a couple of years ago. They're nice and comfortable. You can really play any sport in it tbh.

We use to wear all sorts of shoes for PE class cuz sometimes we'd run outside then do an indoor sport so these shoes are perfect.

Only wore basketball shoes when things were more serious like actual school team games or paid open gym.
