Fuel is way better, since it's tooless blade swaps. This one, you need to have an allen key. For that reason, pass.

Better options out there imo, the fact that it doesn't have a toolless adapter to change blades means you need to remove the bolt every time using a hex key to swap/replace blades.
Gave this tool away after a few weeks. Get a different Milwaukee version w quick change head
The dewalt 20v brushless kit that regularly goes on sale for $89-$99 is a good buy too if your open to other manufacturers

I used this for a couple hours on a project and my hands felt numb for hours afterwards. I read online the fuel is a lot better in that regard. I ended up returning this. I would probably buy a makita if I were to get another. They usually pay a great deal of attention to vibration isolation.

The performance of the m12 was very good though. The included blade was mediocre.

The only non-fuel m12 tools I'd consider are the ratchet and the screwdriver (you don't need an impact for every task). Definitely go brushless on the m12 omt.

Fuel is the way to go. I own both, you need the fuel for m12

Lots. Based on reviews, it's the best OMT out there. This one seems to be considered one of the worst. I have the Fuel version and it's fantastic. Got it on the buy-tool-get-batteries BF deals. Might be worth waiting to see if something like that comes back around. If you have to have one now, and all you have is the M12 system, this is an OK deal. If you just want one to play with, most of the other brands are better (with the M12 Fuel being best)

I have had this version for a couple of years and it's fine if you only use it a couple times a year. Yes the battery does tend to pop out sometimes. But I would definitely go with the fuel version if you are going to using it a lot.

I have owned both fuel versions and the M18 is a lot better because it has an oval handle and this one is round so it's less comfortable to hold. The M18 also has an auto speed setting.

I have both. Night and day. Oscillating angle is the biggest difference with this being around 2 degrees and the fuel being 4. Blade changes on the fuel are a breeze. The only redeeming feature on this guy is how compact it is. I would take this over every DeWalt in a heartbeat though. The oscillating saws with triggers are impossible to control blade speed

I also have a DeWalt, and much prefer using this one. The allen key design makes the head on this one much more compact

I have the m12 fuel version, and the vibration isolation is frankly amazing. Can't compare with the Makita though as I haven't used that one.
