This is so unbelievably cheap and petty of paypal. They somehow screwed up the reward for my final two items. Their system split it up and then only gave me a percent reward for a smaller portion of the split. At first I thought it was an honest mistake but I've been chasing them with calls and messages for 1 month now and they've kept moving me to someone else, promising to fix it and just goes silent. Hilariously pathetic for a huge company like this. The total amounts to like 50 dollars worth. I couldn't even believe it. Every time I talk to a rep, they act like they can't understand what's happening. Sometimes they even try to gaslight me into thinking it's normal. One time i waited like 20mins to talk to someone, then they say they couldn't do anything because they were not the pay later department, they're the regular rewards department. Then I get sent over and the guy tries to send me back to the original one. Then he lied to convince me it's a different one. I got back to that old one and it's a different person, but they say oh we can't do it, you need to email paypal. Then I went through messages and like 3 different person got on the chat and said they'll fix it but just go silent. Then one person say they'll email them and I'll receive an email reply in 7-10 days. What an absolute sh show. Pathetic company.

i know im in the right. either way, after chasing them for literally a month, they finally gave it to me 2 days ago after calling. so their promises of emails was always a lie. i still can't transfer it to my bank yet too, it's locked somehow. i bet they know the reward was missing and just pretended not to hoping i'd give up. every time i tell them, the rep acts like they're soooo confused. then they talk to their manager for like 20 mins then give me the run around. had to contact them 4 times over 1 month to finally get it. im never doing another paypal promo again. greedy fs.

Mine was pending and then disappeared. PayPal has various stories. Is there a more specific department at PayPal to speak to?

Did you ever end up getting your reward points redeemed? Mine have been pending since December 1.

i did get it. you need to chase them down. keep contacting them. it's easier if you do it through messages so there's some continuity. if you call there's no record of what was said. either way im never trusting them again. after this. it seems to me they're doing it on purpose to save as much money as possible. if you dont force them, theyll conveniently bug out.

Came here to say I got scammed as well. Had $117 worth of points pending for months. And they suddenly disappeared today. I was waiting patiently till all this time. Kicking myself for not contacting them sooner. The beauty of the scam is that the points vanish after you're out of the return window. Will contact customer service today but I'm not hopeful.

The whole $585 purchase was predicated upon getting $117 back. Absolutely disingenuous of PayPal to pull this. And points just disappeared silently. No email, no intimation - nothing!

Don't give up. I had the exact same issue happen. I contacted a customer service agent via chat after my points were pending over 90 days. The agent said he would get back to me, but never did. A couple of weeks later, my points disappeared from my account.

I had planned on calling PayPal customer service this Friday. Then today I got an email from Honey stating they manually added my 8800 reward points to my account, which they did.

Thanks for the input. I emailed customer service a week ago. Just after my original points disappeared. Haven't heard anything so far. Perhaps I'll contact customer service via chat today. .

Definitely speak with someone via chat or phone. Who knows when they'll respond to your email.

I tried via chat. No go. They immediately asked me to contact them via email (the rewards program email I had already mailed). I stressed that it's been 2 weeks and I've had no response, and I requested escalation. But they refused saying that all rewards inquiries have to go through that email. So I just emailed that same email again. No response yet.
