The 98" QM7K is also back on sale for $1,998.00. The QM8K is the better model of course but the QM7K is also an excellent TV.

QM8K is the 2025 line so the tech and performance is up-to-date. I have the 65" of this series and been super happy with it - it's a good mid range pick. Beware the older lines Coscto carries like the QM6K, if you cross check rtings.com the scores have much improved since the older model.

I bought it in October for $2k. Overall it is an excellent TV but unfortunately I got a bad panel. Major flaws with local dimming turned off and still noticeable in some scenes with it turned on. I am in the process of having TCL replace it. If you get this QM8K or the QM7K turn off local dimming and check the panel quality in dark scene. I should have done this before my return window ran out with Amazon. There are plenty of these out there with good panels but not the one I got unfortunately.

edit: I attached two pics. One is with local dimming turned off and one is with it turned on. I forget if it was set to low, med or high but regardless you can see how bad the panel is in my set with local dimming turned off. The third photo is with local dimming turned off as well. These sets should always have local dimming turned on since that is what makes these TVs excel. With that said the panel should not look as bad as mine does with it turned off.

The K is what designates the year, 2025. The 8 and the 6 indicate the model, with 8 being their high end sku and 6 being their lower midrange sku, with 7 in between. QM6K is a 2025 model, just lower end than the QM8K.

I went from a 120" front projector to the QM7K. The major difference is brightness of course. A TV will be much brighter than any projector. I had a Sony HW55ES. I still prefer it for watching movies in a pitch black room but the TV is better overall for my setup since I don't have a dedicated theater.

any cashback, giftcards, cc stuff to make this slicker? was gonna sign up for a chase ink card $750 cashback after $6k in 3 months. i saw something about buying bestbuy gift cards from staples with it for more cashback but they dont sell bestbuy or amazon gc
Pretty sure my Capital One Savor card had something like 5% back for Best Buy purchases recently. Otherwise their CC gives you 5% back in rewards to use on their site. Could use that towards a soundbar.

$1750 was the cheapest I've seen 98" go for.

How is Google TV? I've only ever used the Roku interface for smart TVs.
It's great because you can sideload apps like smartTube which is a fantastic Youtube app which has sponsor block and adblock built in.

You need to be careful buying expensive TVs from bestbuy because of the no-unboxing policy and the outsourced delivery people, creates too much opportunity for fraud.

There Is nothing from Samsung or LG that is non-OLED and even remotely close to this quality. In fact, the QM8K rivals the quality of both companies' best OLEDs, at less than half the price. Claiming either company you mentioned has something that competes with this at this price range is simply nonsense. The QM8K and 9K are at the top of every respectable reviewers non-OLED list
To clarify, I do not hate LG or Samsung. My gaming monitor is a 57" Samsung G9, and I freely admit the LG G5 is superior to this, but the 83" G5 is 2x the price and 15" smaller.
If you want the best value, the 8k on sale is the choice
