For a serious Rush fan, yes. For someone who "likes Rush", doubtful. Although I think it's brilliant, Caress of Steel was their least popular album, and anyone expecting rockers like "Tom Sawyer", or "The Spirit of Radio" may be disappointed.

I'm a huge rush fan but this is their worst album. After its release the record company was about to pull the plug on their contract but gave them one more chance..

The rest is history as 2112 was a huge hit.

If given the choice between this and Test for Echo, I'll choose this every time.

Counterparts was an absolutely brilliant album that was hard to top and follow up with, but TFE definitely had some great jams going for it.
