Great fans but just a reminder these are DC driven, not PWM. Some mother boards can modify DC fan curves but best to check.

Good for older systems

The PWM 4 pin 120 pros are still at $27.49 for 5 pack

I'm seeing able to be shipped, not waiting 1-2 months.

Are the pros good for case fans? Seeing that they are super loud at like 40% even with a fan curve set

The eBay b-stock is not always a better deal since you need to pay shipping. Sometimes it cost as much as new

Cant go wrong with Arctic! If you do need PWM, check the PROS for that.

Depends on what your fan controller is capable of. They work great in mine set to 5% at idle. My case never gets hot enough for them to go over 40% anyway, but the only way you are going to get quieter fans pushing the same amount of air is by spending 3times more $. And even then the noise difference is minimal, more cooling requires moving more air, moving more air makes more noise.

You may find specific RPM ranges generate more noise in a given case, but it is easy enough to adjust your fan curve to avoid it, or get some rubber grommets to help isolate vibration.
