The app requires too many permissions and collects all your data. The only thing worse is if they did like other companies and started requiring OEM labels only (no cheaper 3rd party alternatives) using RFID chip in their rolls. The cheap chinese stuff either collects your data, or screws you over with cheap initially, but gets you later in some other way.

The only time the consumer is at an advantage is new start-ups that copy the design of an already established company, forcing competition for prices.
