Are you thinking of the Amalgam Age?
That had its own Omnibus that was much more limited, and is only available at scalper prices.

These are mostly the crossovers DC and Marvel had in the 70s and 80s.

The big missing crossover here is Justice League/Avengers, which seems to have been held out due to extra licensing costs
