When you use this monitor, in a multi-monitor setup with displayport, and you let the displays turn off for power saving, when you wake the screens up, the windows don't stay where they were. If you use HDMI everything works fine. Its something to do with how ASUS and Samsung implements displayport. So far my Viewsonic and Dell monitors don't have this issue.

If you are getting this for multimon pro work, get some DP to HDMI adapter. Fairly cheap. If you have a graphics card with 4x HDMI ports, even better.

I really like these monitors but I have had the same problem as you describe. I'm running two of the PA 248 1900X1200 with the same size Dell Ultrasharp, making a nice tri-setup. I've wondered exactly what caused the resizing issue and have just done the best I could to prevent sleep modes, etc.. But now I'm setting up a second machine for heavy AI/LLM work and I want to share my three monitors with both systems. One is Win 11 and the other is Linux Fedora 42. I've got a KVM coming tomorrow that requires 3 DisplayPort cables from each monitor. I was hoping it would work this issue out but you have me thinking about it now if it's the cables. We'll see, I guess. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

I have two CRVs, which is 4k version of this, they both have the same issue after power saving, maybe like 2 in 10 times, they cannot wake up automatically, should turn off the power and turn on again. Seems like Asus really has problems with the display port input. But I never tried HDMI ports. Thanks, worth a try.
