Why does it need ai? Is ai the new name for upscaling?

I am LIKELY waiting for s90h or s95h. Only thing is the s90h is going to be matte, so if I truly think I don't want matte then I should go s90f in a month or two when prices drop more. Or also I had the bravia 8 ii temporarily and I loved the picture on it. Absolutely amazing. But it bothered my head so I returned it. i am almost tempted to get it again and just watch it less if it hurts my head. lol.

I wish my old edu account were still active, but I think I tried to get into it one time and it didn't seem to exist.
I'm curious about the Sony TV giving you a headache. Is it specific only to Sony TVs or all OLEDs? I'm considering buying a Sony or Samsung myself, so was wondering why that is the case. lol

How to get EDU account?
The deal is also available for EPP pricing.

I have it through PerksAtWork but also check if your work gives you WorkingAdvantage. PerksAtWork is a little better since they have their own cash back program.

Debating LG C5 65" (LG Partner store) or this Samsung S90F 65". Both are $1133 right now.

Samsung has better reflection handling, but LG C5 is probably better in everything else.

Yes, no one debates their kitchen / washing products are not dependable. And yet you bought them?
You may be surprised to learn that when you purchase a home it will often come with a refrigerator and microwave already installed inside.

It's not only sony or all oleds either one. It's just random. MOST sonys do bother it, though, and my samsung rgb oled (it came out many years back and then they stopped making oled until the last few years...) and the samsung s90c qd oled didn't bother my head much at all. Then elite plasmas did NOT bother it, but panasonic plasmas DID bother it badly. It is so confusing. I am thinking maybe certain brands using different techniques in processing, but who knows.

But as far as the tvs go, all I know is the sony stunned me. I watched just the very beginning of the revenant and it about floored me on how good it looked, like reflections in water.,

well the samsung being qd oled makes it better in some areas that qd oled is just better in, such as various things related to colors. Also, I think the qd sets are more likely to have better uniformity than woled ones.

Yeah, the bigger negative of Samsung is the reliability and QD-OLED has more risk of burn-in than WOLED.

Also it seems LG processing does better at upscaling lower quality content.

I think I'm probably more on the side of the LG.

The room is our living room so while I can close the blinds it does have some light.

That is what the sony blew me away in was lower quality content upscaling. That is also the main thing I am reluctant on the samsung due to. Supposedly samsung improved it, but it's still below lg and sony.

I see a lot of people talking about the quality of Samsung products. I've had everything Samsung even their smart hub display Bespoke fridge and never have had a problem. We had more problems with our LG built Kenmore Elite refridge and front load washers.
My Samsung washer and dryer are over 8 years old, and I used them at least twice a week, but they never failed once. Yeah, I don't know, maybe I got lucky?

I decided on the Samsung.

I ordered the 65" for pickup at Best Buy (thought the Samsung Store) and got it yesterday.
So far, I'm really impressed. Compared to the B1 it replaced, and the B2 in my living room, it seems more colorful. It's MUCH brighter and the HDR pops more.

If you're playing PS5 games and don't mind losing Dolby Vision, I think the Samsung is the way to go.

If you are mainly wanting to watch Blu-ray and stream Disney / Hulu, the LG might be the way to go.

I don't think there's a wrong choice.

Im thinking about getting a 55 oled to use as a monitor, mounted on the wall just behind the desk. Thoughts on the s90f vs 95f? I feel like the 95f would be better option if it can come down to around $1200.

Thanks for that last bit of information! It will be mainly for gaming.

The PS5 doesn't have Dolby Vision only the Xbox does.
