5GB should be good enough for many people. for $50 this is definitely a good deal, plus you don't have to port in a number.

We haven't been with Red Pocket for a few years now, but I left them due to their tech support being unable to get their data working on my phone & blaming it on my phone's "incompatibility". I finally got it working MYSELF by adding a 2nd APN to the phone. Anyway, We have now been with Infimobile for a couple years now & I can say without hesitation that the Verizon variant of Infimobile is WAY better than Red Pocket was(back when I left them at least) & is a lot cheaper as well for comparable service plans..... I just wish they would add the AT&T network to their service offerings...It's my favorite network.

It says 49 "/year", but if you set on the auto-renewal option, will it actually RENEW at $49 every year going forward? Or at its $180 MSRP price?

OP says "Shipping is free for the physical SIM option." But I'm getting charged $3 for shipping, and a few dollars more for Taxes & Surcharges

Make sure to try the IMEI checker on the webpage before ordering. I tried 2 unlocked Tracfones ( Moto XT2165DL and Moto XT2271DL) and IMEI checks for both indicated ineligible for service. Could be that Infimobile is now requiring 5G phones for service.
Despite this, I've had a good experience with Infimobile in the past for my basic usage. Their website was wonky about giving up-to-date phone information like data usage, however. I last used their service March 2025, so things might have changed since then.

I bought this same deal for my middle school daughter phone about 12 months ago for $60 / 12 months, so $5 / mo. It's worked great and there's still have a few months to go before it runs out.
This deal is legit and I plan on buying again.

Question: If I need to activate in this new plan when old expires, is it possible to keep the same phone number? I assume then I'd just type in the new activation/PIN code and should get another 12 months.

Same, getting $3 for shipping physical SIM. Plus I get $18 for tax in CA so not much of a deal (for me at least) after everything.

Check the price of a renewal at infimobile. When it was $60 I was able to renew at that price and my plan doesn't expire till may of this year...now extended into the next.

For anybody that needs to buy a physical SIM Amazon has them for $2 and that's where they ship from anyway if you've ordered it from infimobile.
