Also with esim or renewals since no physical media is sent like the sim kit you can use a privacy.com virtual credit card (free) locked to $5 over the purchase price and 1 time usage and it authenticates to ANY address. This lets you pick a state with little or no taxes which saved me around $17 in 911 related fees. I just picked a random store in a random city of ohio if I remember right and only had like $2 in taxes and fees.

I have the 5GB plan that ends 7/25/26. I went to my account and clicked on "Recharge." It then allowed me to add 1 more year of service at this current price. Total was $50.58 for me

Current Plan | Month 6 of 12
Pro Plus 5 GB | 5.00 GB
Next Cycle starts on 27-Jan-2026 17:40:07

Upcoming Plan Pro Plus
Plan starts on 26-Jul-2026 17:40:07

Cool - I'm renewing manually, but how do I confirm the new plan will renew for me in July instead of starting immediately?
I took a chance on it, based on user johnnyblades post about it yesterday. Glad I did. I took screenshots of my account before and after I did the renewal ("Recharge") purchase. See my screenshot below, comparing what I saw before and after the renewal. It indeed does show that the "Upcoming Plan" will begin on the same day that the current "Plan Ends". (In my case, on May 3, 2026).

Furthermore, I got a text and an email from Infimobile, saying "Dear _____, We confirm that your payment for Pro Plus 5 GB plan has been successfully processed to your Infimobile number (xxx) xxx-xxxx. The plan will take effect on the day of your next current plan expiry day 05/03/2026 23:59 EST (Eastern Standard Time)."

I just did an IMEI check with a month old Moto G on Straight Talk and it passed the check. How is that possible? I chose physical sim. It's also giving me the choice of a Verizon sim or a T-Mo sim. Interesting.
Just to let you know my locked straight talk Moto stylus 2025 also passed the IMEI test but when I put the SIM in from infimobile it says SIM locked and does not work.

thanks much for this info! Makes sense that it would not since it's not a Verizon company

No, not a verizon company, but if it is with a Verizon MVNO SIM it was very much worth the try in any case!

I can see if he put in a tMo SIM it would definately reject that. I'm sure it was a VZW sim though.

FYI, I wasn't able to downgrade my future plan from my current 15GB annual plan to the 5GB plan using the recharge function from the app or website. I was able to chat with an agent and he was able to do this for me for the same sales price.

Wrong. It's 2500 per year. The 5gb renews monthly. Been on this plan for almost a year already for my kids

You're kidding right? I only had my mom on this for a few days, as she uses a lot of minutes, but I thought the minutes renewed each month.

I tried a month ago to get this deal when it was $60. It gave me payment processing errors on 2 separate and valid credit cards. Customer support tried to help by sending me an invoice from Stripe but got the same error message. Unfortunately had to give up and bought the Ultra Mobile 4GB deal in December.

IMEI checkers are checking the phone model to see if it has the required bands for usage on the network. They are not checking if a phone is locked or not.

You could have used privacy.com's virtual cc which is free and I'm pretty sure I mentioned it multiple times in that thread. I certainly have in previous infimobile threads.

They don't know what they are talking about. I've been on the plan for months and it resets every month.

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep this in mind next year! Wish Infimobile took other payment options such as PayPal or Google Wallet.

I never used any prepaid phones, so maybe this is a dumb question. After the 5GB of data is used, will the data connection stop completely or be reduced to the lowest speed? Also, for 2500 minutes of talk/text, will there be a monthly cap, or can you use 2500 however you feel like it?
2500 talk minutes/2500 text. Data is probably cut off like mint mobile does after you use 5GB
