If you're after better standalone performance, deeper sound, and more connectivity features, the Sonos Era 100 is the superior choice overall. If you want a solid, budget-friendly Sonos speaker that integrates well with a larger setup, the Sonos One SL is still a very capable option.

Sonos fixed their app issue a while back and moved forward. You should move forward too.

What specific issues are wrong with the app? I purchased the Arc Ultra, Sub Gen 3 and a pair of Era 100s and the app as worked fine for me with zero issues.

Me too! They're out there somewhere.

Hey, fellow Sonos Master - do you happen to know if the One uses the S1 or S2 app? I've got a shitload of their old S1 speakers and really don't want to have to go to S2 for the One. Thanks bro - and rock 'n roll.Big Grin

I used it in S2, however I don't know if it works in S1.

Yeah. They were $85 a pop at MorningSave (seemingly same parent company) with code at the end of December.
That one had like $8 shipping or something so only a small difference.

i have both, and you're spot on. Era 100 definitely sounds better (fuller). Of course, it costs more.

For others weighing this One SL option, know that its nice (at least in theory) that these work off SonosNet, where the Era 100's do not. Era 100's must use your wifi.
Both models have ethernet. Ethernet is included on the One SL, and available with a ~$30 adapter for Era 100s.

If you use the app SonoSequencr you can add front Left and right channels to your Sonos system. I'm picking up a pair for that purpose

Not if you bought multiple and signed up for the $5.99 for 30 days shipping trial.
