This Metabo HPT palm nailer stands out as a compact helper for deck work, joist hangers, hurricane ties, nail plates, and other tight spots where a nail gun cannot fit. It drives loose nails, works with many nail types, and the swivel connection and cushioned grip add comfort during short jobs. The main limits are that it is not meant for thousands of nails, can feel taxing on the hands, and may struggle to fully drive some hardwood. A practical specialty tool with strong value at the right price.

Another nice alternative that can usually be picked up with 10% off coupon - https://www.harborfreight.com/com...57925.html
I will note the HF one def is much more tolling on your hands after like 10 or so nails. Having the cushioning on the metabo def helps. I have the version before HF rebranded it to Banks from central pneumatic. The new banks one seems to be even smaller which is nice but the force generated is pretty taxing.

I've used both. Not the same quality. I used to use Metabo then used HF one to save a few bucks. At the end, they are built differently. Metabo is much better IMO. So I ended up going back to the Metabo nailer.

I bought one of these, returned it a week later. The 12v Skil auto hammer worked better than this HF nailer.

Ordered and received the Metabo today, 50% off is a no brainer for Metabo tool. Hoping it works better, got some framing to do in a couple of months.

It's funny, I got the Skil 12v Auto Hammer for popping out the bottom pins on old painted door hinges, works great for that. I wasn't expecting it to work so well for driving nails. It is a little awkward for some angles where a palm nailer would be better. Was going to buy the Milwaukee M12 palm nailer but it is a bit too big and pricey.

anyone have experience with one of these devices? I'm curious how many nails/hammer sessions before your hand goes numb from the vibrations.
They are not new inventions. Its actually really easy to use without problems. I have the M12 battery version and its crap next to this thing

I have a similar brand. Was the slickest thing for nailing in joist hangers on a deck we built.

I almost bought the m12 battery version when it was on sale for $100, is it worth $100?
