For comparison, Sam's Club has a 64oz jar for less than $5, and a 100oz can for even less per ounce. Not for me, but some people I know eat these on or with everything and go through them quickly.

$1.98 at my local grocery all day long. These are my favorite! Don't eat them often enough to get a huge can, plus my fridge is already very full. No way anyone pays $5.99 for this tiny jar, what an absurd "normal" price.

Do you really mean the 12oz? If so, I can see them being that price in a place like Hawaii, but not too many other places.

Unfortunately, like I said, not for me. My step-dad eats them on everything. I would say though they are probably not considered HOT by professionals!
