Wish it had 32gb ram. Ram upgrade alone will cost $150

Looks good. 12GB vram and 16gb. The HP omen max 16" deal is open box with 5080 16gb vram and 32gb ram but it's also $1700!

After my last Asus ROG laptop, I'll never buy another.
Fried the motherboard while it was turned off. Looks to be a common issue with older ones, burns out capacitors. No idea if they have fixed the issue but not worth the chance.

Good to take note of.

I'd want to read reviews of this particular model to see if it's still a problem or if it's been fixed.

probably also worth an extended warranty .

Otherwise this looks like excellent gaming performance for the price. I'd hate to skip a slick deal based on a problem that may or may not exist

I bought the exact unit 4 months ago! Excellent condition for 1400.00 added 3yr bb warranty. You never know motherboard might get burnt out 1 week before the 3yr ends and I end up with 1400.00 BB GC🫢. Overall a powerhouse for this price! I have thrown all AAA I have and handles it like a champ

I would have them open it and check it has the stock ram and ssd.
BestBuy never checks returns.
Even Items that are apparently new. I'd check before leaving.

Bought some HDDs that were swapped for junk. They were returned and the seals were off their original spots.

Better to buy ASUS or another place instead of BestBuy,

this is a good deal, the 5070tim at a full TDP Wattage is about within 5% of the 4080m from last gen (looking at game benchmark performance)

My Asus Rog Advantage G15 also died unexpectedly about a year after the warranty has expired. Turned off mid game and never came back on. Discouraged me from getting gaming laptops as they seem to die wholesale.

I might need more Ram. The current games have too high requirements for this...

5070TI laptop for $1300 is excellent. Only thing is the display is a bit dim, but if you're gaming indoors away from open windows and especially in the evening after work it's not an issue.

1080P Screen (sorry, 1200P which isn't even noticeably different having an extra 120 pixels). Absolutely embarrassing for 2026. It was cutting edge in 2019 when I got a laptop with a mobile 2060. Now it's far below standard.
I don't know why they would include such a garbage screen on an otherwise solid build. This would be a fantastic deal if it was QHD+
