I feel like enclosing a generator is asking for trouble....

it's not fully enclosed, so should be plenty of air flow, but in rain/snow, if u angle it away, it should be quote helpful?

This just covers the top and side, which is entirely fine to do.
That said, this is ridiculously priced for what it is. We built a little shed for ours with an oversized lid that props open during operation to keep airflow going but keep the weather out.

I just put the generator under a fold up card table that I have to keep the rain and snow off.

Do you have a tarp or anything over it too to not have water get on the panel?

I have this and love it. No problems running the generator with the cover on. Just roll up the sides you need.

Doh, completely missed that part. The code does work for me. Was ready to buy but doesn't look like it'll fit my Genmax. Bummer.

How much does it affect the noise? I feel like that is far more desirable than just protecting it from weather

I have used a folding table as another poster has mentioned. Now I use the top half of a beach umbrella and a few bungee cords just in case it's rlly windy. Can angle however needed.

That seems like a good thing to have, but is this really a good price? Seems pricey.

I thought so too and there are many lighter weight/cheaper ones out there, but I was checking reviews and they were all very positive. I also got a trailer cover for friends and in2 years it basically disintegrated, so I imagine, if this is outside, in weather, maybe build quality (don't have personal experience with this one) maybe something to consider

Pictures if you can provide? I get the idea I just want to see how it would look and operate.

Same here, I put a cement block on it when it's windy to keep it from blowing over.

Or an umbrella with a clamp.
