The Spirit SC E 425 with crafted griddle is a compact Weber gas grill that stands out for the included griddle insert and frame kit, which add real value and make quick cooking easier for onions, veggies, and other small items. The griddle is not full surface, but it is still described as plenty big. The two wheel setup is favored over the caster version, which can break off and feels better on rough ground. Main tradeoffs are the missing digital thermometer, stainless finishes, and an open upper back cabinet area that may need covering. A practical pick if you want Weber basics with extra griddle flexibility.
people who want a griddle add-on without hauling out a separate cast-iron griddle because the included griddle insert is "plenty big" and they even use it for small items like onions and veggies.
buyers who prefer a simpler, more stable setup for moving the grill because they like the 2-wheel version and say the caster wheels "break off easily."
homeowners who plan to roll the grill only on smooth surfaces because they'd be fine with the 4-caster/caster-wheel version if they have a smooth place to move it.
people shopping at Home Depot who can stack a military discount because one buyer paid $539.99 before tax using the 10% military discount on this $599 deal.
tinkerers who don't mind doing small repairs because one owner said their Spirit grill has lasted nearly 10 years and they've only replaced flavorizer bars over time.
people expecting strong high-heat steak searing performance because one owner called their Spirit a "POS" and said it "can't even properly sear a steak."
buyers who need a grill that will reliably last only a few years without any concerns because one commenter wouldn't expect it to last 3-4 years and implied it's not the same durability as longer-lasting lines.
people who want the full griddle cooking surface covered by the included insert because the griddle insert is not full-surface even though it's "plenty big."
buyers who rely on caster wheels for frequent movement because another owner said the caster wheels they had "break off easily."
people who store the grill outdoors with animals nearby because one buyer said the upper back cabinet area was open and an animal got under the cover and caused damage.

Biggest differences between this and other 425 models (e.g., EP-425, S-425) are that it lacks the 4 caster wheels (only 2 wheel; E-425C is the same thing but w/casters), the digital thermometer, and stainless steel finishes.
Definitely use the insert griddle rather then lug out my lodge cast iron griddle. Even if for onions and veggies. Pretty pumped up for addon.

No brainer to pass on this. A gas grill is a gas grill, no matter the name plate you put on it.
Weber is for the hat and no cattle travel ball crowd who can throw it in the back of the minivan to hang with the Chads for a weekend under the portable tent.

Past grills that I have owned by Char-Broil took forever to get the side burner to heat up. I mostly never used it because it sucked.
