I've had On shoes for years, and these are by far their worst model. The top part mesh of the shoe tears very easily. What's worse is that, instead of correcting course, the company hasn't acknowledged or corrected the issue.

Hoka is a previously French, now US company. On is a Swiss company. Where does Japan come into this?

Deckers owns Hoka, but Hoka quality began to nosedive in or around 2018. I've been through so many Hokas but the ones past that seldom last. On went public about 4 or 5 years ago and the brand has since deteriorated. Sketchers makes a knockoff of this specific shoe and people seem to prefer it over this even though this is better in lab testing.
