Resist! You want it, like I do, but -like me- you really don't need it. You are only thinking about it because it's "a deal." Also, it's like a 1k computer without the card, so you're paying 2500+ for the card. A goodish deal if you need it, otherwise...not!

Yes, mostly cuz it's a deal haha!! FOMO...

Right now it takes me about 3 minutes to generate a small clip of video of 10 seconds. 720p. Can it be faster and easier with more VRAM? yes


but I should just work on a workflow and batch up a lot of work for my slower machine since if I can keep that slower machine running more often, it's the same if it can work while I am away or sleeping.

but damn the deal prices is why I want to just buy it!!!!

haha, I keep searching "RTX" constantly. I can't help it!

I am struggling with a PC vs. laptop. I love the HP 16 Omen Max because it has a screen that I can just open it up and use. I don't plan to take it out of the house that is something that I could, as an option, without travelling. Having a full PC is a pain in the ass but it has so much more power. desktop 5090 is twice as many cores and 32GB of RAM over 24GB on mobile 5090.

I have 2 Omens and both cards run fine, 3080ti in one and 4090 in the other, they are made by sparkle as stated earlier, better than founders in cooling and mileage will vary on Overclocking as in any card. Sparkle has been around a long time, they have cards that look almost exactly like the HP branded cards out in the wild.
