Doing my research about power stations. Can someone explain to me what this means 2600W Solar input (dual port 1600W+1000W)? I just want to know how long will it take to charge 400w solar panels?

Delta pro 3 has 2600W solar input capability. It has two MPPT controllers inputs one port 1600W (30-150V 15A) and one port 1000W (11-60V, 20A). 2600W total.

"2600W solar input (dual port 1600W + 1000W)" means the power station can accept up to 2600 watts total from solar, split across two separate solar input ports (two MPPT controllers):
Port 1: max 1600W
Port 2: max 1000W
2600W is the combined maximum, not per port
You can use one or both ports at the same time, but:
You can't exceed 1600W on the first port
You can't exceed 1000W on the second port
You can't exceed 2600W total
Using 400W solar panels
In perfect conditions:
400W per panel
2600 ÷ 400 ≈ 6.5 panels
So realistically:
6 × 400W panels = 2400W (ideal)
7 panels = 2800W (exceeds max, extra power is clipped)
A common setup would be:
4 panels (1600W) on the 1600W port
2 panels (800W) on the 1000W port
Total ≈ 2400W
How long will it take to charge?
That depends on the battery capacity, but assuming a large ~4000Wh power station:
Best-case math (theoretical):
4000Wh ÷ 2400W ≈ 1.7 hours
Real-world expectations:
Solar usually delivers 60–75% of rated output
Losses from heat, angle, wiring, clouds, and charge tapering
So in practice:
2400W of panels ≈ 1400–1800W actual
Expect roughly 3–4 hours of strong sun for a full charge
Bottom line
2600W is the maximum solar the unit can accept, not what panels automatically provide
With 400W panels, 5–6 panels is the sweet spot
Real-world charging takes hours of good sunlight, not minutes
Panel voltage and current limits matter just as much as wattage when wiring

Thank you so much. In my mind I thought that's how the math maths. But when you explained it perfectly like that. I 100% get it! Thanks again!

The advice is not entirely complete or correct.Solar panel wattage is NOT what you use to determine how much you can connect. VOLTAGE mattersSo depending on the 400W panel specifications will determine how many you can safely connect.Delta Pro 3 port 1 (highPV input) is 30-150V. Port 2 (LowPV input) is 11-60V. You can absolutely not over volt. And you need to factor cold temperatures considerations which increase voltage. Panel ratings are at STC (standard test conditions = temp 25C, air mass 1.5, solar irradiance 1000W/m2)Also how you connect them matters. Series vs parallel.Series sum volts (use panel VOC)parallel sum amps.Without knowing the solar panel specs, 4x400 connected in series on the DP3 HighPV input is reckless advice. again you can NOT over volt without risk of frying the solar MPPT controllers.2x 400 on the lowPV if connected in series) would also be reckless advice as it surely would be over the 60V max of the port

Prices are dropping now that the tax credit is gone. This is basically the equivalence of a price of around 2700 before the 30% tax credit without the hassle or risk of interpreting the credit correctly and legally.

Good price. I picked up 2 for around this price from an authorized 3rd party seller a few months ago. If you decide to get extra batteries, wait until Ecoflow or Costco has them 2 for $2500 (which was a steal at the time and should be normal price).

So far, I thought, that ecoflow is the best brand for the portable battery, but I realized that there smart features sucks.
Of course, jackery doesn't have any smart feature, but I don't have any expectation from jackery about the schedule feature so I pay no premium to buy jackery and use the smart plug.
But I paid a bit of premium to buy the "best" brand when I bought the ecoflow, which is not true.
Their smart feature, such as scheduling doesn't work. it turns off the ac port at the end of ac discharging schedule,
and it draws power even in the middle of discharging schedule.

So, TLDR; ecoflow is NOT a best brand. some of their advertising smart features are false.
