Great deal and fantastic tool for $180. I was able to snag one from an authorized dealer for $225 recently (to get the full warranty), but thinking of grabbing this too.

That's a dang good price though.

I was contemplating buying this and while I sat and thought about it, it sold out! So that answers my question. Maybe next time. Definitely don't need 1600 ft-lbs of torque. But nice to have do those engine crank bolts. All though my M12 can handle them no problem.

The Forge 8.0 is being offered as a Free Item on a lot of tools at Home Depot. You can "hack" it by returning the tool, and the battery comes out to ~$125-140 depending on which tool you pair with it.

EDIT: you can also check FB Marketplace for people who have bought the combo and are just selling the battery (I sold mine for $145 not long ago).

I think so. Milwaukee will go off the serial number production date though, not the purchase date, for non authorized dealer sales.

new doesn't matter, if they aren't an authorized seller, you're SooL on manufacturer warranty...

From my experience as long as you can prove your the original owner and a proof of purchase date to base the time limit on should be good going through Milwaukee
