I've been wanting to try one of these but it Seems like the lid would get in the way when drinking out of it. Anyone know if that's a problem or not?

I ended up getting one of these last time it was on sale in the greenish color. Nice solid mug that keeps the beer cold for sure. Most likely never using the bottle opener but the lid does open up fully over your hand side to avoid getting in the way when drinking. Wearing a hat the lid kind of touches the side when you drink. I wish there was a way you could remove the lid and use it as well when here, but that's not the case. Overall for 20 bucks I think it's a good deal. Not that I nurse a beer for 40 minutes and need to keep it cold 😁

I removed the pin. If u push it in one direction it pops out, the other direction it doesn't move.
I remove it and still put lid on. I think the reason it doesn't open more is bc it's too tight. I don't know why they made it such a tight fit. I have intentions of filing the lid at contact to see if it'll flip better.
Great mug otherwise. I use it for coffee, but I don't fill it up more than 2/3, so I don't burn myself.

It's suppose to be a beer stein, they all have flip tops. This one is a little stiff in flipping.

I think most folks don't know what a beer stein is.
