I really wanted VR to do well but this ain't happening.
It does have some drawbacks. Most games don't have native keybindings for the controller so I find myself having to remap controllers in a lot of games. Another thing is you want to make sure you have a good Bluetooth adapter or you'll face some intermittent tracking issues. One last downside is that it is wired and hardwired at that, so should your usb cable ever get damaged the whole system would stop working. Some good things though is that games look great on it. It's also really comfortable with this cluster mod I got for it, which was pretty cheap. I haven't had any neck pains or strains while using it.
Overall, I like it but I do believe I am going to get a Steam Frame as I think it'll fix all of the issues I currently have with the PSVR2. I think the Steam Frame will be priced well enough for me.

The PSVR2 Horizon bundle stands out as an OLED VR headset that looks excellent on PS5 and, with the PC adapter, can also be a strong PC VR option. The display quality gets the most praise, with games like Half Life Alyx and Star Citizen described as looking incredible. Comfort is also a plus, and the headset can feel like a solid intro to VR. The main drawbacks are Sony's limited support, no PSVR1 backward compatibility, and controller or tracking quirks on PC, so it fits best if you want PSVR2 and PC VR titles rather than a broad PlayStation library.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, PSVR2 can be used on PC with the $60 PC adapter, and the OLED screens are a major highlight for PC VR. It can look incredible in games like Half-Life: Alyx and Star Citizen, though some PS5-specific controller features are not enabled on PC.
PSVR2 does not play PSVR1 games, so older PSVR titles are not backward compatible. PSVR1 also needed a camera adapter and sensor setup, which makes it a separate ecosystem rather than a plug-and-play upgrade path.
For PC VR, it is described as an excellent value for a high-performance OLED headset, especially with the PC adapter. The main caveat is that some buyers prefer Quest 3 or future Steam headsets because PSVR2 is tied more tightly to Sony's ecosystem and has weaker support outside it.
Yes, a number of PSVR games have free or low-cost upgrade paths to PSVR2. That can soften the lack of PSVR1 backward compatibility if you already own supported titles.
On PC, many games need controller remapping because native keybindings are often missing, and a good Bluetooth adapter helps avoid intermittent tracking issues. The headset is also wired, so a damaged USB cable can stop the system from working.

personally I'd look elsewhere.
buying into that ecosystem is a massive dead end. They barely support it and it doesn't have full support elsewhere like steam and other places like other headsets do.
it's why I quit them and sold all my sony stuff. waste of time and a dead end if you want to game anyplace else and have your progress follow you.

Question and I think it is obvious but I am going to ask anyway....PSVR games are NOT playable via a PC when using the PSVR2 on the PC? For example, if I bought this set, I couldn't play Horizon: Call of the Mountain on my PC. I assume the titles are not 'cross platform' and still must be played using Sony hardware.
