There's 5 different generations of Civilization in this bundle. Would anyone want to go back and play earlier iterations?

At this exact moment on Steam more than twice as many people are playing Civ 5 than Civ 7. Civ 3 also has double the player count of 4. Each game has its own specific fans. 5 is my personal favorite simply because it's the first one I played so I have the most hours in it. I LAN'd 6 a bit as well but it never hit the same for me. I also used to LAN Railroads! during college so I have lots of fun memories of that game. Pirates! is also fantastic. This is an incredible collection if you've never played any of these games before.

I've played at least 200 hours of each Civ game, since Civ 3 (excluding the newest one) and I've never found myself going back to the older ones. I know that Civ V in particular has some loyalists, but I can't imagine someone needing to own all the games in the series.

That having been said, I think Sid Meier's Railroads is a lot of fun and frequently overlooked. It's a really fun building/simulation game.

No, its shovelware with a desperation sale
"Shovelware?" One of the most highly played, longest lasting, and respected franchises in PC gaming? LOL...okay.

Even if you had zero desire to play any Civ game....it certainly ain't SHoVeLwArE by any measure.

civ6 added too many complications imo over civ3 era. I don't know when that all changed, but being unable to stack units on same tile and just the extra little policy info, etc turned me off
