Is the Gen 10 (Ryzen 9 9955HX) at risk?
Likely No.
Following the backlash and high failure rates of the 2021/2022 units, repair technicians and industry reports indicate that Lenovo altered their solder composition for high-performance (HX/High-TDP) parts in subsequent generations.
The Gen 10 uses a completely different motherboard design and manufacturing process compared to the Gen 6.
Summary Advice
If buying New (Gen 10): Do not let this specific rumor stop you. The issue is historically tied to the 2021 manufacturing process.

You should update your knowledge about this. Intel WAS terrible until 2023 or so, then Intel surpassed AMD last year after a pretty dramatic improvement. So much so that Intel is being investigated for it.

TLDR Intel 9 processors are now better than AMD 9 except for the 3D series.

Okay so not better? Cause if the king doesn't beat the other king not better.
And I have no idea in what world you are getting your info. The best gaming CPU is the ryzen 7 9800x3d.
Intel is under investigation but for defective hardware.
AMD has a GPU to outclass Intel in about everything. The only place I think you could have the discussion is for ai and machine learning stuff. Intel has some decent progress there.
I'm very curious where you got that notion or what proof you have of it cause by about ever metric I can think of AMD is killing Intel and even more so when you factor in pricing
