having spent time camping with professional firefighters and first responders, you are many, many times more likely to need something that can break a window than a seatbelt cutter on modern seatbelts. some of them have literally never used seatbelt cutters in their lives

Everyone with a car should own one of these. Just 1 use justifies the purchase.

Wish they had a tool for laminated car windows since that is becoming more common and this type of tool doesn't work on laminated windows

You're going to need a much larger version if you're in a Cybertruck and trying not to burn alive. Or you can just learn how your Tesla's doors open manually.
Seriously, if your car is mangled enough that you have to cut the belt then shatter the window to get out, you're not going to be in any condition to cut the belt and then shatter the window, let alone crawl out.

Many dash cam videos out there disproven this foolishness

Uh hu. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm sure there are people who used these after they drove off a cliff into the ocean and sank in.

Single biggest issue with these is locating them in a panic, like after driving into water or rolling over. Most people put them in their glovebox, but fail to train for it by having a spouse throw cold water on them at 2am and then give them 10 seconds to locate a specific pair of socks in the dresser.

That's how I train, at least.

I would say "mount it on the A-pillar!" but those are normally loaded with airbags.

"How did grandpa die?"

"Well he would have been fine, but remember that Christmas gift?"

I'm not against them, just the false sense of security they might offer. Sometimes better training is mental visualization so if you hit water, you instinctively open all the windows or sunroof while the electrical is still working.

Cars should have these as standard equipment. Especially EVs
