Just moved into a house so great timing for my first real HT system. Place already has in-ceiling speakers so I have to figure out whether I want to do 7.1.2 or 5.1.4

Also I need a receiver too 😅

Does anyone have a code if I just want the towers? Don't really need all these speakers.

Is it plug-n-play kind of home theatre system? Needing to replace my 9 yo Vizio 5.1 system which is connected to LG OLED tv. Will this system work in a sane way? Are these speakers connected wirelessly to bass?

No, it's a traditional system, you need to have a receiver and run your own speaker wires.

Thanks for the reply. Which receiver is good? Or cheap, lol? If i need to keep bookshelf speakers away from my tv, there's no way i can connect them wirelessly?

It's not. These aren't the best speakers, but for the price they can't be beat

--accidently replied to you instead of the guy asking about Jamo compared to Klipsch--

Klipsch has owned Jamo for about 20 years. Klipsch has higher end stuff but for the price there are usually better options at the same price. The 5 piece set used to go on sale for under $200, no sub or floor standing speakers. I should have bought them years ago when they'd go that low

Jamo is solid. It isn't audiophile beloved but the speaker sets on sale are budget audiophile beloved. You'll see sound bar sets with puny satellite speakers selling for this price or higher. With this you have two full size 4.25" speakers. Imagine trying to fit all the speaker drivers you can see in the picture in a soundbar26 years ago good home audio was expensive. Today it's pretty cheap. Don't worry about this being to good of a deal to be true. The on sale prices were even crazier before COVID

The main things people would want to upgrade are the center and sub but I'd bet the vast majority of people would be happy with both. Especially since the is has so many speakers to push air around
