For those looking for comparison between this and the Samsung Q990 series, I have both. They both impress in smaller rooms (14'x14' and less). However, the Q990 is a much better overall performer as it delivers clearer dialog, midrange and bass. This Klipsch is also a solid performer but is slightly muddy in the midrange area, and a lot less spacial effects than the Q990.

What I love about this Klipsch is that you can add your own subwoofer, in addition to the wireless one this one comes with. I got a deal on the bar only and just attached a spare Klipsch subwoofer I had laying around.

I love both and this, for just more than half the price of the Q990 is worth it, especially if you don't have the budget to step up to the Samsung. I guess to get that added spacial sound, you can add the rears, but that I hardly see below $180 for a pair. Adding that additional cost, I'd find the extra dollars and hold off for a sale of the Q990, that can go as low as $700 or lower.

I thought the samsung 990 is only like 600 something from their EDD website, isn't that a lot better than this?
Not sure.

I paid about $379 for HW-QS700F. I'm coming from Klipsch 2.1 PC Speakers..

HW-QS700F sounds very nice out of the box.... may just keep it.

I am yet to be impressed by anything klipisch. I think they are made to impress people who like a lot of bass but don't care about mids and highs balanced.
sounds like Bose and Beats by Dre.

Coming from the Klipsch Cinema 800 system. Is this worth the upgrade? Of course, I have to buy the surround speakers too.

I have this set up and while it's great like a movie theater it lacks in the mid range. Vocals are weak. Sad because if the vocals were better this would have been amazing. Even when u turn up the dialogue enhancer
I use it on Windows 11, set it to Atmos using Dolby Access app, the dialogs sounds much much better with Atmos than without.

The only thing I care about is a strong voice in my acoustically challenged family room. I have ordered KEF LSX pair, lets see.
