These might be an okay deal (I have two pecron 1kwh units I like although the Oupes Mega 1 deal can't be beat) but the post is misleading. If the OP is running his house off two 3kwh batteries for two weeks, he's living a very energy efficient life indeed. For those without experience with battery units like this, that would be 6kwh of energy in total- enough to run a 120v common space heater on full blast for four hours at the most without other power input.

OP has since clarified that he is supplementing his house power with these units and charging them both with direct power via DC and solar. You will NOT power a household for any substantial length of time based on the output of a 6kwh battery bank and two of these units paralleled to 240v still will not operate most central HVACs. They'll run a minisplit or window ac for a while.

They are useful units but don't expect more than they can deliver. They will run a fridge or chest freezer for anywhere from 3 days to a week depending on duty cycle and insulation from full charge, for an idea of a useful measure.

I did not say running off the batteries. I do charge them with solar and DC at night.

You added that part in after the fact. I would not have made that comment otherwise as my intent was to point out that they do not hold that much energy.

Do you use a manual transfer switch? How do you prevent backfeeding to the grid?

I use an interlock kit, but leave the generator side on all the time. The 2 Pecron E3600 units provide power to the inlet.

I do have a subpanel with most of the circuits on it, except the dryer circuit so I can use the 240V 30A from the grid to charge the power stations at night.
