Does the WiFi supported version offer anything worthy of consideration? My microwave has WiFi support, but is utterly worthless.

I don't understand the appeal of these. $1600 to power a fridge for 21 hours? Why not just get a generator?

Well, when you read the recommended uses... running a fridge isn't on the list.

I guess not everyone is handy enough to DIY a generator, and it easily costs a couple of hundred bucks annually in some HCOL areas. Plus, generators are loud and smell pretty bad while they're running, and they take way more effort to set up and get started.
I have both a generator and batteries. When the power goes out, I always hit the batteries first. If it ends up being an extended outage, I'll use the generator to charge them back up and then kill the engine once they're full.

You don't get the appeal? Some people don't mind paying more for convenience and to not want to deal with gas and maintenance. I understand you think it's a waste of money. But you're clearly not their target customer.

If you want a lot of the capability but a lower price, maybe you'd want to check out this deal and buy a couple of them.

Not everyone has a place they can run a generator, fuel can go stale, this requires almost zero maintenance, no moving parts to break, silent, perfectly "clean power output, no real activation other than pressing a button, solar power to use this daily for free, etc.
But yes, both move electrons so I guess there is that...

There's plenty of appeal for various situations. Camping, RV, travel, homeless... as for fridge this could power myn for 2-3 days and that would get through probably most power outages. It's pure sine vs dirty power from most generators even many cheaper inverter generators that typically have high total harmonic distortion and can damage some electronic components.
These arn't really a replacement for a generator, but works well combined with and gives options.
Maybe unlikely since they are expencive, but if used regularly as solar power station its possible it could pay for itself over its lifespan.
I don't have any of these set ups, but have assembled my own 20kwh, 6000watt split phase capable "moble" power station. Not very moble since its 500lbs, but runs the whole house except for some hvac modes. Combined with PV panels its possible to pay for its self 5-9 years while also being a backup power source. Not for everyone, but these power stations certainly can be beneficial in certain situations.

Not bad, the unit without extra battery is $849. Could expand the capacity with a cheaper lfp battery. Can easily find 48v 100ah lfp battery for 6-$700

I'm powering my full size regular refrigerator on a c1000 as I type this, and I am getting 14 hrs runtime/charge on a 1kWh setup. At 4x the battery capacity I would expect at least 2 full days from a 4kWh setup, unless your refrigerator has a TV or some other fancy power-hungry device built in.

If it is like the smaller version of this series you can't connect the additional battery.
