I wouldn't trust an aluminum extendable handle.
I have been using this one with a wooden handle I had laying around for 2 years.

I think "Grampa's Weeder" is the original of this design and has a bit of a cult following. Lots of knockoffs, mostly no-name.

owned the grandpa's version and gave it away. Ended up getting the fiskars. The main difference is the fiskars allows you to eject the weed from the weeder without you having to pull it out by hand. This feature makes a HUGE difference IMO.

Yeah, there is virtually no chance hollow threaded aluminum pipe is gonna withstand a lot of side torque cycles that the use of this product will require. You need a solid and strong rod/handle with no breaks or threads.

Yeah, but what year did you buy the Fiskars? THeir quality has decreased so dramatically in recent years it's absurd. The last 3 tools I bought from them broke the first day I used them all. Just incredibly poor quality; something I would expect from Dollar Tree garbage.

It was a few years ago and I did break one of them. Fiskars did send me a new one after I provided some photos, and I did not have to send the broken one.

https://a.co/d/dexjFVkAmazon used prices start at $32, but I'm not sure how Fiskars would feel about warranty claims on Amzn Warehouse items.
