People still buy CDs? Pretty sure I threw away my entire metalica collection in the trash…
Vinyl and CD's are making a comeback

And weirdly, cassettes, which is the least explicable of the three to me.

(Although I do admit somewhere around 1989 I did think that CDs were too bulky and easily scratched to replace cassettes and my first portable CD player in 1992 was kind of unreliable.).

In for one! Trying to backfill my old Metallica CDs and rips without getting an angry letter from Lars.

Honestly I think I've rebought all of their first 5 albums for $5 over the years, all from Amazon.

Yeah, cassettes had a nice run, but were technically inferior to CDs in every way (except storage). No comeback needed there. It was a stepping stone.

Band died 35+ years ago. Riding on hits from 1986 lol. Soccer moms listen to this travesty of a band now.
True! I'll never forget the excitement before the black alum came out. Major disappointment!
JFA would have been far better if it didn't sound like it was recorded in sewer pipe.

As a Metallica fan I remember Enter Sandman being released as the first single. We were quite frankly confused and as you mentioned disappointed. Then they end up releasing what essentially were a couple of ballads. But as was the times it ended up growing on you because radio/MTV played it on rotation what seemed like every hour. I pretty much dipped out after that album.
