I have the blue walmart variant, it came with less attachments but still had the same specs. Overall I like using it, convenient, cheap filter/parts, and keep it plugged next to the cat litter. Its a good spot vac, perfect for stairs, and small areas. Its stronger than my ryobi 18v bucket and shop vac but obviously less mobile due to requiring an outlet. I paid about $75 for less attachments. Probably wouldn't buy it at $100.
They just launched another version called EveryMess. It can do stain removal and has an attachment for pet hair. But it's still expensive right now since it's new. If the price comes down I highly recommend it though.
I got this from Costco awhile back when they have clearance for $30, and I was using it to clear my car, which is not a good choice. As you can see in Amazon pictures, the hose is very short, so you need to carry it or move it all the time and the attachment have plastic like tip, not brush, so it is not good for carpet. Suction is good when you first use, but you need to clean up filter often before it lost suction, It is not worth $100, not even $50.
The Deal History shows price to be increased. How does this became a deal?
It drops to $80 for some stretches of time, like September/October but it's been $150+ since then. It's not the best deal but still a deal off the normal price.
Happened to score this as a refurb at a deal-a-day site a few months ago for about half this price and it's great -- compact, light, and I don't need a 10-gallon vac; this size works great for most of my (small) household needs.
First use was when I accidentally spilled two large lemonades in the passenger footwell of my truck. While the weather mat held a lot, it helped suck up as much of the remainder of the spill that I could get to (and the enzyme stuff I followed up with) and so far, no fermented-sugar smell, so I call it a win.
